The usual recommended dosage of this drug for the adults is 1-2 inhalations, containing 42-84 mcg of the medicine twice a day. This counts for the total administration of the drug to 168 to 336 mcg per day. Since the drug is meant for administration directly into the respiratory passageways through spray, one must be careful and prevent cases of over-dosages. After a span of few weeks, one adequate control over the allergy is undertaken; the dosage can be reduced to 84 mcg or one nasal spray per day. The nasal spray should be held upright to enable direct inhalation of the medicine into the respiratory system.
