Children and allergic reactions to peanuts

A sad fact that has been revealed in recent studies that have been performed is that the number in children that suffer from symptoms that are involved with experiencing allergic reactions to peanuts has doubled in number just in the last few years. Researchers say that a big reason that this problem might be happening is because there are a lot of parents who have made the decision to allow their children to consume food products such as peanuts before their immune system has had the necessary time that it needs to develop fully. Unfortunately, there are other nuts that may be adding to this problem and would include products that are soy-based, products that are nut-based, and peanuts that have been roasted. This problem has grown so high that there are as much as three percent out of 4,855 homes that are reported to have a person living in the household that has allergies to tree nuts, allergies to peanuts, and some of them are allergic to both. Its easy to see that if parents would choose to wait until their child’s immune system is properly developed before allowing them to consume nuts, allergic reactions to them would decrease.
