Aerius, commonly known as desloratadine is used to treat allergic problem like nasal and non-nasal symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in patients of 12 years of age and older. Aerius is an antihistamine having a selective and peripheral H1-antagonist action. It has a long-lasting effect and does not cause drowsiness because it does not readily enter the central nervous system.

In case you experience any of these side effects, consult your doctor as soon as possible: difficult or painful urination pounding, restlessness with increased body movement, symptoms of liver problems such as yellowing of the skin or eyes, unusual tiredness or weakness, fast or irregular heartbeat. Immediately stop taking this medication if you witness any of these symptoms: seizures, symptoms of a severe allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, hive, or swelling of the mouth or throat

Before you go for this medication, be sure to inform your doctor about your medical conditions like reduced kidney function, liver not in the proper working condition, pregnancy or if you are breast feeding.
