Wheat Allergies

When you have a wheat allergy you have a reaction to wheat proteins. It's very common for children to have wheat allergies. Some adults get them but not as often. When doctors say that you have a wheat allergy this just means that you have developed a certain kind of immune with wheat protein.

People who have wheat allergies will react a bit different then ones who just have regular allergies. You can experience hives, nausea and sometimes you might have problems with breathing. Anaphylaxis might develop when you have wheat allergies.

If you avoid getting treatment you will be putting yourself in a lot of danger because chances are you need medication to avoid getting more infections. These medications might make you feel better but might not actually cure your wheat problems and because of that some have to take it for life.

If the doctors have told you that you have a wheat allergy you should research and see what food items and things that you should avoid that has wheat in it. Know what you can and can not get when you're out.
