Allergies are the result of disturbances and irritations to the immune system in our bodies. Our immune system fights the invasion of certain foreign substances that are viewed as harmful to our bodies. The body, as well as the immune system has a way of producing higher levels of while blood cells that are manifested in the form of rashes and inflammations. However, these rashes and inflammations can be harmful to our bodies.
Allergic reactions can be caused by a wide range of allergens and are widely known as allergy producing substances. Some of these would include pollen, dust, food, smoke, and are even found in materials that include fur and wool. Allergies vary in type and virulence and in severe allergic cases can lead to death. Some of the various food allergies that are common are walnuts, peanuts, shellfish, and many other foods. People that are allergic to these foods will develop rashes and at times, their tongues will swell.
Allergies have proven to be hereditary in nature and often passed down from generation to generation. The most common form of allergy that affects most people is hypersensitivity, which is caused by external substances and materials. Another common allergy that is hereditary is an allergy to roses. This allergy produces chronic sneezing, itching, and watery eyes.
