Can allergies cause burning and itchy eyes?

As an endless number of allergy sufferers all around the world know, there are a variety of different allergy symptoms that can occur when they have been exposed to items that they are allergic to. There are some symptoms that may be mild and not bothersome at all, but there are some that can ultimately cause a large amount of pain to the individual that suffers from allergies. However, one of the most common and well-known allergy symptoms that is dealt with among a large number of individuals, and for some people it is on a continuous basis, would be the bothersome and frustrating problems that happens when the eyes become itchy and watery. Various allergens can cause the body to produce an antibody that is known as IgE, which then causes the allergens to be bound together. The result are mast cells that can be found in the intestines, the airways, and other parts of the individuals body and will ultimately cause them a higher susceptibility of being exposed to allergens. Histamines and other chemicals are then released into the person’s bloodstream and will ultimately cause the allergy sufferer to experience burning and itching of the eyes.
